Halldór Björn Runólfsson
Halldór Björn Runólfsson (f. 1950) er starfandi sýningastjóri og ráðgjafi á sviði myndlistar. Hann er fyrrum safnstjóri Listasafns Íslands (2007-2017) og lektor í listfræði við Listaháskóla Íslands (2003-2017). Árið 2006 lauk Halldór Björn doktorsprófi í listfræði frá Parísarháskóla I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. Verkefnið fjallaði um Endimörk listarinnar og verk Steinu Vasulka – Les limites de l’art et l´œuvre de Steina Vasulka. Árin 1989-1993 starfaði hann sem aðalsýningastjóri við Norrænu listamiðstöðina í Helsinki, undanfara NIFCA (Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art).
Halldór Björn Runólfsson (b. 1950) is a curator and consultant in visual arts. He is a former director of the National Gallery of Iceland (2007-2017) and senior lecturer at the Iceland Academy of the Arts (2003-2017). In 2006 he obtained a doctoral degree in arts from the University of Paris l, Panthéon-Sorbonne, with his theses on The Limits of Art and the Works of Steina Vasulka. From 1989 to 1993 Halldór Björn was Head of Exhibitions at the Nordic Arts Centre, precursor of NIFCA (Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art).
